I've experienced the same thing in natural areas here in California after wildfires. It is very reassuring to see the grasses green up after fires, which is what generally happens here because the fires come just before the rainy season begins. Hopefully the nation's mood will revive also once we have a sane President in office.

Moraine Park is my favorite place to see elk and hear them bugle. I have many photos of this area in my collection. I've camped near Moraine Park with my parents. It's a special place. The Cub Lake trail is a favorite. Glad to see things are opening up. Hope to see new growth in spring.
