Sorry about the chaos, Kathy. Your pictures, as always, are wonderful. I love the juxtaposition of the wild and the mechanical, I don't know why. Glad your peace has returned and I'm sure the scar will heal in no time.


How wonderful to watch the animals exploring their new environment! Great photos--as always!


The natural world is opportunistic. Lovely to note how to the curious rabbit and hungry birds, the bulldozer is just another potential source of food and shelter. As Juvenal is credited with having said, "Never does nature say one thing and wisdom another" …

Oh if only I could learn that--to be "patient and accepting." Like the rabbit who took it all in stride, availing himself of the shade, and the birds who searched the upturned dirt for food and the hummingbirds who availed themselves of a new perch. Wonderful that Dan remembered and respected your wish to keep the aspens.
