Cabin Journal is such a pleasure to read....I haven't commented in awhile, but I always feel that I get to the cabin, your meditation, your view when I read this. I really like your photo of the pasqueflowers and remember the very first time you--we saw them at the cabin.

I love your photo of the pasque flower ("pasque" refers to Easter) because of its otherworldly glow. Your post reminds me of how we crave color at this time of year, but how in the flush of full summer--overflowing with color--we neglect noticing these subtle bits of color. That's what makes spring a pleasure, savoring the small signs of awakening life!
